South Africa's industrialised metal machine is back with the blistering 'Father Grigori'. The track is the first single from Chaos Doctrine's forthcoming sophomore album, the name of which has not been released yet. This single was produced by guitarist Alec Surridge, who is also mixing and mastering the entire album at Gemini AD Studios, home of Chaos Doctrine. Father Grigori's lyric video, in turn, was made by bass guitarist and backing vocalist Phil Carstens, whose striking visual work has become synonymous with the band’s multi-sensory assault.

Father Grigori digs into the life and times of the infamous Russian Monk Grigori Rasputin. The track sees the same brutal blend of old school thrash and death metal with a heavy industrial we have come to expect from the Chaos Doctrine since their self-titled debut album in 2020, but there is a step up in the production, tightness, and all-over anger of the delivery.
